Hi! I’m Sean DiGiorgio — a director and filmmaker based in the DMV area. I’m currently earning my B.A. in Theatre Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), with a focus on directing. My work centers on collaborative storytelling, actor-driven processes, and creating space for bold, emotionally resonant narratives on stage and screen.
As a director, I strive to be cinematic — blending the visual language and emotional rhythm of film with the immediacy of live theatre. I focus on precise stage pictures, fluid transitions, and striking imagery to craft a stage experience that feels like watching a movie unfold in real time.
In 2022, I co-founded Teddy Bear Wedding Productions, an independent production company dedicated to crafting daring, original work in both film and theatre. My directing portfolio spans narrative film, devised ensemble work, and new play development.
As a performer, I’ve appeared in UMBC’s mainstage productions of Slime (U.S. premiere, as Frezzle) and Stupid Fcking Bird* (as Trigorin). These acting experiences continue to shape my directorial lens, enriching my work with a deep understanding of actor process, voice, and narrative rhythm.
I’m passionate about crafting theatrical and film experiences that feel visually rich, emotionally immediate, and rhythmically precise. Whether I’m staging a new play or shooting a short film, my goal is to blend the cinematic and the theatrical — creating work that lingers in the imagination like a vivid scene from a movie.
